New Stadium Reaches Latest Milestone

The installation of precast concrete marked the latest milestone for the future home of the San Francisco 49ers, another sign in the rapid construction taking place at the new Santa Clara Stadium site.

“It’s gone extremely well,” Project Executive Jack Hill said on Monday as a gathering of Bay Area media members watched some of the precast concrete being raised into place.

49ers Seek Artwork for New Stadium

The San Francisco 49ers have partnered with California-based design firm Sports & The Arts to source and acquire the art, graphics and photographic collection for the new Santa Clara Stadium opening in August, 2014. The stadium art and photography collection will showcase team history as well as celebrate the Bay Area by featuring works of both local and national talent.  

49ers Name Brocade as Stadium Partner

When the new home of the San Francisco 49ers opens for the 2014 NFL season, Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD) will make sure the 68,500-seat new Santa Clara Stadium is ready for prime time.  The 49ers today issued more details about its agreement with the San Jose-based network solutions company.  As a Founding Partner in the new stadium, the long-term partnership makes Brocade the exclusive and official network solutions partner of the San Francisco 49ers.  In addition, the stadium’s East Field Club will be named the Brocade Club.

Santa Clara Stadium to Bid on Super Bowl L

The future home of the San Francisco 49ers has been selected as a finalist to host Super Bowl L in 2016. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell revealed the news on Tuesday, saying the new Santa Clara Stadium is vying with South Florida to become the site of the NFL’s 50th Super Bowl.

Seats Now on Sale to the Public

49ers Announce SAP as Stadium Partner

The San Francisco 49ers and SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) announced Monday that the world’s leading provider of business software and analytics will be a Founding Partner at the new stadium in Santa Clara.  As part of the agreement, the team’s practice facility, located directly adjacent to the new stadium, is set to be renamed the SAP Training Center.  As the team’s exclusive Business Software, Statistics and Performance Partner, SAP will support the 49ers year-round operations by enabling the organization to run better in all facets.

Behind the Scenes of Groundbreaking

In less than a week, gold shovels will dig into precious California soil to signify a new beginning. A small plot of land adjacent to California’s Great America Park will give rise to one of the world’s premier entertainment venues.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Santa Clara Stadium is a major milestone for the franchise of the San Francisco 49ers. The event will held April 19 at 5 p.m. in a special ceremony that will include the York Family, Santa Clara Mayor Jamie Matthews, the Santa Clara City Council members, community leaders and stadium supporters.

NFL Approves $200 Million Stadium Loan

National Football League owners approved $200 million in a G-4 loan that will be directed to fund construction costs for the new stadium in Santa Clara, the new home for the San Francisco 49ers. The approval is the last piece of financing needed for construction to begin on the stadium, and the 49ers are the first franchise to receive support from the new stadium fund that was crafted in the collective bargaining agreement with NFL players last year.
