A Tour of the Developing 49ers Museum, Presented by Sony

The 49ers Museum presented by Sony will be a first-class celebration of the 49ers’ past, present and future. Located at the north side of the stadium at street level, the 20,000 square-foot space will be the home of the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. 49ers Hall of Fame, the Morabito theater, the Denise DeBartolo York Education Center, the team’s Super Bowl Gallery, and a series of other exhibits.

49ers Kicker Phil Dawson Preps for New Stadium Conditions

When Phil Dawson saw that the 49ers had installed the NFL’s first collapsible field goal posts at new Levi’s® Stadium last week, he wasn’t looking at the bright yellow cross-bar. 

Dawson focused instead on the waving red flags atop each post.

Then he went to Weather.com and found Santa Clara was sporting 10-mph winds.

Tickets for First Stadium Event On Sale Friday at 10AM PST

The Santa Clara Stadium Authority and the San Jose Earthquakes have partnered to present the first event at Levi’s® Stadium. The Earthquakes will play host to the Seattle Sounders FC in one of Major League Soccer’s most heated rivalries on August 2, 2014.

Tickets for the game will be available on Friday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Suite rentals are also available by calling 415-GO-49ERS.

49ers Install NFL’s First Collapsible Field Goal Posts

Levi’s® Stadium has its field goal posts.

A crew led by 49ers director of engineering operations Pat Rogan and First Down Football Products president George Wiley installed the posts at San Francisco’s new Santa Clara home on Friday morning.

They are the first automatic, collapsible posts in the NFL.

We start with the NRG Solar Terrace, where 1,150 solar panels span a green roof. Right now, the roof is bare, but soon it will be decorated with plants.
