Bay Area to Host Super Bowl L

The 50th anniversary of the most prestigious game in professional sports will take place in the San Francisco Bay Area. Following a vote by 32 NFL owners on Tuesday, Super Bowl L will be played at Levi’s® Stadium, the future home of the San Francisco 49ers.
The San Francisco Super Bowl bid committee was selected over the South Florida committee to host the league’s championship game in 2016.
Levi’s Stadium – Home of the San Francisco 49ers
Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.) announced today that it will present the Santa Clara Stadium Authority a proposal for a 20-year, $220 million naming rights agreement for ”Levi’s® Stadium” on Thursday, May 9, 2013.
The apparel company is proposing a naming rights partnership with the Santa Clara Stadium Authority and San Francisco 49ers that would make the company an official sponsor of the 49ers, and feature premium interior and exterior branding of the new Levi’s® Stadium.

The future home of the 49ers, set to open in 2014, is one of two candidates to host the biggest game in professional sports at the conclusion of the 2016 season.
The San Francisco Super Bowl committee is up against South Florida to host Super Bowl L. The decision will come down to a vote from NFL owners on May 21.

Seifert, Young Join Super Bowl Committee

The Bay Area’s quest to host Super Bowl L or LI received a boost this week with the two key former 49ers joining the region’s Super Bowl bid committee.
According to the SF Gate, Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young and two-time Super Bowl winning coach George Seifert, have joined the committee that features many other well-known Bay Area personalities (Condoleeza Rice, Charles Schwab, Thomas Keller and others).

Record-Setting Pace Continues As Legends Reports 75% of Stadium Builders Licenses Sold at New Stadium
Although construction of the new Santa Clara Stadium began less than 11 months ago, the building is well on its way to being sold out when the San Francisco 49ers take the field for the first time in 2014. Legends, the company hired to market the premium and reserved seats for the Santa Clara Stadium Authority, will submit $400 million of Stadium Builders License contracts for its approval. To date, 75 percent of all available SBLs in the venue have been sold.
