A DECADE OF EXCELLENCE: LEVI’S® STADIUM CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF MEMORIES
As Levi’s® Stadium celebrates its 10-year anniversary, discover how it has evolved into a global hub of sports, entertainment and community impact over its transformative decade.
In the heart of the Bay Area, Levi’s® Stadium was envisioned not just as a venue, but as the home for premier sports and entertainment for the Faithful. “We built Levi’s® Stadium in the hopes that it would one day become a world-class sports and entertainment venue, with events to excite and inspire millions of fans,” 49ers president Al Guido said.
Since its inauguration in 2014, Levi’s® Stadium has transformed Santa Clara into a global hub of entertainment. From iconic musicians like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran to some of the world’s biggest sporting events like Super Bowl 50 and the Gold Cup Final, Levi’s® Stadium has cemented its status as a top-tier venue for unforgettable live events drawing audiences from around the world.
Since becoming the proud home of the San Francisco 49ers, Levi’s® Stadium hosted some of the franchise’s most thrilling games and unforgettable moments. Over the past decade, the 49ers have played 90 games at Levi’s® Stadium and the team boasts a perfect 6-0 record in playoff games held at the stadium, including memorable victories in the NFC Championship Games of 2019 and 2023.
“I remember my first home game, coming out and seeing everyone just walking around outside the stadium and how alive everything was, the energy, you can just feel it,” quarterback Brock Purdy said. “There’s something different about this place.”
Beyond its role as an entertainment and sporting landmark, Levi’s® Stadium has significantly bolstered the local economy since its inception. Events at Levi’s® Stadium have added over $2 billion to the regional economy, created 12,000 jobs and enabled local workers to bring in more than half a billion dollars in wages. The stadium’s influence extends far beyond its walls, contributing to the growth of the community it calls home.
“Stadiums don’t start out feeling special,” Guido said. “They only spark to life once memories are formed within their walls. Every time fans come to Levi’s® Stadium, they etch one more memory into the legacy of this building – memories of unforgettable encores, last-minute touchdowns and overtime goals. The accumulation of those moments is what makes Levi’s® Stadium a home.”
Looking ahead, the future of Levi’s® Stadium is as bright as its celebrated past.
The stadium is set to make history once again in 2026 as the first venue ever to host both the FIFA World Cup and Super Bowl in the same year, a testament to its global appeal. In honor of its 10-year anniversary, the 49ers have launched 49ers Cares About Santa Clara, an initiative aimed at enriching the community that has embraced the stadium. This organization-wide effort will contribute over $250,000 annually to Santa Clara programs, totaling $5 million over the stadium’s lifetime.
As Levi’s® Stadium celebrates a decade of memories, it remains a cornerstone of Bay Area culture. The next chapter of the stadium’s legacy awaits even greater accomplishments and cherished memories for generations to come.
“The best is yet to come,” said Guido.
