Levi’s® Stadium’s MLS Game to Feature Three World Cup Players
Bay Area soccer fans not traveling to Brazil this month will have to wait until August to get their taste of the World Cup.
But it will be worth the wait.
When the San Jose Earthquakes host the Seattle Sounders FC in the first professional sporting event at Levi’s® Stadium on Aug. 2, they’ll be led by forward Chris Wondolowski.
“Wondo,” as you may already know him, will compete for the U.S. in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Americans begin their international schedule with a June 16 bout against Ghana.

Two Sounders players will also suit up for the men’s national team, defender DeAndre Yedlin and forward Clint Dempsey.
See all three after their successful (fingers crossed) World Cup on Aug. 2. Tickets are now available here to see “Wondo” and Co. in action.
So honored to apart of this 30 man group. Still a lot of hard work left to do but so excited for this opportunity.
