Scott Sabatino

Scott Sabatino is the chief financial officer for the 49ers.  He is responsible for management of the financial operations of the team and stadium-related entities, as well as the team’s human resources and information technology functions. Sabatino was a key member of the group that secured the initial and long-term financing for Levi’s Stadium.

Sabatino joined the 49ers in 2010 after serving as the associate commissioner of business & finance for the Pac-10 Conference for over three years.  Prior to the Pac-10, he spent 11 years with the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), a developmental league for the NHL based in Princeton, NJ, where he served as the league’s EVP/COO. In 2015, Sabatino was inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame and in 2018, he was named CFO of the Year (private companies) by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Sabatino began his career with Coopers & Lybrand’s audit practice in Boston where he became a CPA.  He earned a B.S. in accounting from Northeastern University and a M.S. in sport management from the University of Massachusetts.

Sabatino resides in San Francisco, CA with his wife, Elaine.
