CFB Week 8 Recap

Division leaders began setting their sights on conference title games and a Top-5 team went down to defeat.  Pac-12 and Big Ten teams provided plenty of drama and excitement in Week Eight.

Nebraska (7-0, 4-0) outscored Purdue (3-4, 1-3) 17-0 in the second half to slide past the upset-minded Boilermakers.

K Emmitt Carter drained a 28-yard field goal with 0:28 seconds left to propel Minnesota (5-2, 2-2) to victory over Rutgers (2-6, 0-5).

Behind QB Clayton Thorson’s three touchdowns, Northwestern (4-3, 3-1) bested Indiana (3-4, 1-3) to win their third in a row.

Penn State (5-2, 3-1) CB Grant Haley returned a blocked field goal attempt for a 60-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter to upset #2 Ohio State. (6-1, 3-1).

Colorado (6-2, 4-1) CB Tedric Thompson intercepted Stanford (4-3, 2-3) QB Ryan Burns twice as the Buffaloes edged the Cardinal in a defensive struggle.
