Local Transportation Options to Levi’s® Stadium Are Many
While there are three times as many freeway access points to Levi’s® Stadium than there were to Candlestick Park, the Santa Clara Stadium Authority and the San Francisco 49ers are encouraging fans to take public transportation to football games and other events.
After all, the stadium is situated mere feet from Amtrak, Caltrain and VTA as well as light-rail and bus stops. (Not to mention storage, valet service and racks for bicycles if you’re close by.)
Here are the options being worked on with four local transportation agencies.
Coming from South Bay Area cities? | VTA
Valley Transportation Authority will provide additional light rail service connecting Mountain View, Alum Rock, Santa Theresa and Winchester stations to Levi’s® Stadium. Light rail service is anticipated to carry 3,000 riders from Caltrain at the Mountain View stop. Post-event, light rail trains will be leaving every eight minutes in each direction to help our guests make their way home. Local bus lines servicing passengers from Cupertino, Saratoga and Campbell will drop guests at the Great America Parkway and Tasman Drive intersection, about two blocks from the Levi’s® Stadium gates. Additionally, there are five express shuttles servicing Fremont Bart, Gilroy, Eastridge Mall and Ohlone.

Coming from San Francisco? | Caltrain
Caltrain is expected to run two dedicated trains for Levi’s® Stadium weekend events. Trains on the weekend run every hour, and the special trains will run between those regular-scheduled trains, making all local stops from San Francisco station and connecting with VTA Light Rail at the Mountain View stop. VTA will have additional buses ready to help with the Caltrain ridership if needed. Post-event, Caltrain will have two dedicated trains to supplement their hourly service to get riders back to San Francisco. These trains will wait at the station until at full capacity before leaving Mountain View.

Coming from Stockton or Livermore? | ACE Rail

Trains are expected to offer a special fare between $20 and $30 for a round-trip train ticket from anywhere on the line to reach the Levi’s® Stadium/Great America station located on Stars and Stripes Drive. ACE trains are expecting to arrive 30 minutes before kickoff of 49ers games and leave about 30 minutes after the games.
