Levi’s® Stadium’s 49ers Museum Hosts Inaugural Education Open House Event
Levi’s® Stadium’s 49ers Museum presented by Sony will host students for the first time on Aug. 18.
On Aug. 5, it hosted their teachers, administrators and superintendents for the venue’s first annual Education Open House Event.
As part of the evening, the educators were given a tour of the entire museum, which features the Denise DeBartolo York Education Center on its bottom floor.
Museum director Jesse Lovejoy as well as Chevron’s manager of education, Blair Blackwell, explained the center’s focus on STEM education, while museum education program manager Matt Van Dixon gave them a breakdown of the program’s many offerings. In addition, attendees were afforded a hands-on experience with the very tools that their students will be using upon their own visit.
