Family Learning Nights are free sessions designed to reinforce academic skills, inform parents about content their children are learning in school, and strengthen family bonds through the learning process. Through our Family Learning Nights, attendees will gain a better understanding of how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) is intricately connected to our world by actively engaging in hands-on, investigative learning within a STEM-focused curriculum that is uniquely tied to the game of football.
In addition to making families aware of how and what their children are learning, the other common element in each Family Learning Night is…fun! We encourage families to have fun together, whether they are doing a project-based activity or exploring the 49ers Museum. The program is available to families who have children in kindergarten through 8th grade.
Programs occur one Friday per month from October through April. The event is held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Participating family groups will be led by Museum educators throughout the evening’s activities and all guests will wear clearly visible education program credentials to designate event participants from the general public. Our programs can accommodate up to 30 students and their parents in each grade groupings (K-3/4-6/7-8), with no more than 180 students participating per night.
Please note, registration for Family Learning Nights experiences are now closed.
The program is broken up in grades K-3, 4-6, and 7-8 development levels.
